LAWN CARE
Spring (March-May)
The spring feed is always the one that makes the biggest impact visually. After a long winter the granular feed focusing on leaf growth and leaf colour gets your lawn off to a strong start. Starting straight away gives us the chance to assess if the lawn requires any additional work such as dethatching and aeration. Applied at the same is a lawn weed control treatment, this will knock back any weeds in the lawn and give the grass roots the best chance at thriving. Summer (June-August)
With longer, hotter, and drier spells we feel it is safer to apply liquid treatments in the summer months. Liquid treatments don’t require watering in, taking in all the nutrients the grass requires through the leaf. Hosepipe bans can spell disaster for a lawn, unfortunately necessary, but we can apply a wetting agent in granular or liquid form which will help the roots of your grass retain and distribute water more evenly meaning your grass will stay greener with less water for longer.
Every time we visit you an assessment will be carried out on the health of your grass to ensure we continue down the appropriate path. If you would like to know about our feeds, follow this link! Our Organic Feeds.
Autumn (September – November)
The autumn granular feed focuses on getting the roots healthy and strong for the upcoming winter. The best time of year to sow grass seed is autumn, with the ground still warm but more moisture around it makes ideal conditions for successful germination. This means you will have your lawn looking back to its best in no time after spot spraying any last remaining weeds and scarifying. See our page on fungicides and insecticides to see how they can help maintain a healthy lawn all year round.
